Catherine Devaney
Chief Executive Officer
An occupational therapist by background, Catherine has more than 20 years of experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation settings. Prior to joining HealthSouth in Concord in 2005, Catherine served as the chief operating officer at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital and executive vice president at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital in Massachusetts. Catherine holds a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Boston University and a master’s degree from Marist College.

Gregory DeCandia, MD
Medical Director
Dr. DeCandia received his medical degree from the University of Vermont. He completed a residency in family practice at St. Francis Hospital Medical Center. Dr. DeCandia is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He has many years of experience managing neurological conditions, orthopaedic conditions and medically complex patients. In addition to providing medical directorship to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord, Dr. DeCandia is a full-time attending physician at the hospital.

Eileen Thayer, OTR,C
Director of Therapy Operations
Eileen has more than 25 years of clinical and management experience in acute rehabilitation. She oversees inpatient and outpatient therapy, clinical programs and case management at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord. Eileen holds a degree in occupational therapy from the University of New Hampshire. She obtained certification in neurodevelopment treatment (NDT) in 1985, and became a certified case manager in 1993. Active in community service and professional development, Eileen is currently the chairperson of the Occupational Therapy Board for the State of New Hampshire and is the National Director of Case Management for HealthSouth.

Susan Sudak, PT, MS,
Director of Marketing Operations
A Physical Therapist by background, Susan has more than 19 years of experience in rehabilitation. Susan joined HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord in 2003 and previously served as the physical therapy clinical advisor with a clinical specialty in neurological rehabilitation. Susan received her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of New England, her master’s degree in healthcare administration from New England College and her doctor of physical therapy degree from Simmons College.

Joseph Adamski, MSN,
Chief Nursing Officer
Joe has more than 32 years of rehabilitation nursing experience. Joe holds certifications in rehabilitation nursing and neuroscience nursing. In addition to working at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord, Joe is a part of the adjunct clinical faculty at New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord, where he provides clinicial instruction to nursing students. Joe has lectured on various topics, including pressure ulcer prevention, neurological diseases, diabetes, spinal cord injury and brain attacks.

Myra Nixon
Director of Human Resources
Myra brings more than six years of human resource experience in a health care setting to Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord. In the course of a diverse 18-year career in hospitality, she has gained experience to be a proactive management executive with strong leadership skills in strategic planning and implementing policies and programs based on company oriented goals.

Jeanine Chesley
Area Controller for Maine and New Hampshire
Jeanine has more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting. After receiving her degree in accounting, Jeanine worked for five years in public accounting before joining the private sector. Her experience includes 11 years in manufacturing with progressive positions including chief financial officer for five years. Jeanine also worked for six years as finance manager for Aetna Insurance (formerly NYLCare) of Maine. Jeanine has been a member of the HealthSouth team since 2002.
